Carl's Jr.'s Bourbon and Coke

Hopefully and fooled you with the title and made you think Carl's is the first fast food joint to start serving liquor... that's probably what they're going for, too!

But there's no alcohol here, it's just their Kentucky Bourbon Burger (and a Coke).

The Kentucky Bourbon Burger is a Charbroiled Black Angus Beef Patty, 2 strips of bacon, Pepperjack cheese, garlic-pepper onion straws, lettuce, tomato slices and Kentucky Bourbon Glaze (zero proof).

You can even get a dollar off with this coupon.

So you might not get a buzz, but as a bonus you'll get 100% of your daily value of Saturated Fat and Sodium, and 970 calories!  Come to think of it, you might get a buzz after all!

UPDATE: Here's an advance look at the TV spot that will start airing next week for the Kentucky Bourbon Burger (a surgeon talks about his need for a bourbon before surgery, of course it is revealed that he's talking about this new burger):

0 Proof (0.0% Alc./Vol.)... I love it!

That's pretty grose when you put it that way; Like most americans, I usually try to ignore Nutrition Facts. I've been a Carl's JR.[Founded 1941] fan since I was 6. Those days are now gone; Nowadays I won't eat there much at all. The "Ultra High Quality" Six Dollar Burger is known for having Tendon & Bone left in. Pure Angus beef? I think not. I'm sure that you wound never get that in an any actual restaurant unless they are as cheap & careless as Carl's JR. now is(Or McDonald's with the Sausage, Bone & Egg McMuffin!). I contacted them @carlsjr.com to complain about the few bones in the Six Dollar Meat that almost broke my teeth; Hopefully to receive some kind of feedback or credit & would you believe that they forwarded my message to their Risk ASSessment Dept.? They even had the nerve to send me back an analysis based off of what I told them. Risk %, Liability %, ect. Pretty much saying that they were not responsible for these bones in my burger. What a crock Carl's JR.

I know one thing however; Carl Nicholas Karcher (SMOM)
January 16, 1917 – January 11, 2008
[Passed away at 90 years of age]
Would have NEVER stood for this kind of crap for his customers. He would have had it made right the first time & made sure he had quality beef at all his locations including the first two restaurants in Aneheim, CA.

Bottom Line: Carl's JR. will never be the same. I hope that this message gets to the Karcher Family.
(Or have they sold out?)
