Pizza Hut's Bacon Mac 'n Cheese Pasta

Earlier this year, Pizza hut introduced Tuscani Pastas.

They call their pasta line "a restaurant-quality pasta dinner" that can be delivered to your door.

Until today there have been two varieties of Tuscani Pastas, Meaty Marinara and Creamy Chicken Alfredo.

Today they've added another flavor: Premium Bacon Mac 'n Cheese.

It may be 'restaurant-quality' but I haven't been to an Italian restaurant yet that offered Bacon Mac 'n Cheese! Or at least that's not what they called it!
"Premium Bacon Mac 'n Cheese, is a contemporary take on a pasta classic. Rotini pasta is smothered in a cheddar cheese sauce, topped with cheese and bacon, and oven-baked."
The Tuscani Pastas are advertised to feed a family of four. They cost $12.99.

The Bacon Mac 'n Cheese Tuscani Pasta has 2080 calories, 88 grams of fat, 48 grams saturated fat, 2 grams trans fat, 240 mg cholesterol, 4680 mg sodium, 216 grams carbohydrates, 16 grams fiber, 16 grams sugars, and 96 grams protein.

I can't speak for the ..."Bacon Mac 'n Cheese Pasta", but I ordered the Chicken Alfredo a few months back. Hands down, the worst pasta I've ever had.

We ordered the Pizza Hut "Bacon Mac 'n Cheese Pasta tonight and it was not good. If you can imagine unseasoned al dente rotini with a cheese sauce that tasted like it consisted of a bunch of melted Kraft singles and milk. Very much like a mac and cheese that would appear on a cheap all-you-can-eat buffet. It was cheese and sauce only... no crusty cheese topping, which I thought would be on something marketed as "premium". They have a "no bacon" option, which is cool for us vegetarians, Although, I think they could at least offer to add an extra topping like tomatoes or something for those who leave off the meat. It got here in record time, but strangely the pasta was lukewarm and they left off our breadsticks.

Save your 12.99! Go to the grocery and buy a box of Kraft deluxe, then cook up a couple of bacon slices and crumble on top.
