Texas Senate OKs 'cheeseburger bill'
Following the lead of 18 other states that have passed similar legislation, the Texas Senate yesterday passed the so-called 'cheeseburger bill' that prevents lawsuits blaming fast food restaurants for obesity problems. 27 other states are considering similar legislation. 61 percent of adults and 35 percent of school-age children in Texas are considered overweight or obese.
